Tim Burton

Over the past three decades, Tim Burton has reinvented genre filmmaking, melding the fantastic, the horrific, and the comic. Accompanying Burton''s first major museum retrospective, this book considers his career as an artist and filmmaker. It narrates the evolution of his creative practices, following the current of his visual imagination from his early childhood drawings through his mature work, and revealing how popular culture and Pop Surrealism have infused his distinctive vision.
